Photo credit: Google images There was something someone said to me once, he said " everything wey dey exist, na one person start am" for those who can't read Nigerian pidgin English that simply translates to " everything existing was started by one person ".  This made me wonder, what if that person after having the thoughts of being a pioneer, decided not to pursue it? How much time did it take before the thoughts and ideas were ready to be revealed to the world? Because if there's anything I've learnt about the human nature is that the fear of the unknown makes humans defensive and possibly aggressive.  There is a set precedent in human sociocultural characteristics, where everyone is expected to conform to what is considered to be the norm of the society depending on the prevailing culture. Photo credit: Google images As the number one citizen of the country, the President is the most popular person albeit the most relevant person and is accorded a lot of privileges and comfort. This is probably the reason why the President cannot come to terms with the immense sufferings plaguing the majority of the masses in the country.  The ills of poverty, unemployment, starvation and malnutrition, inflation, lack of basic social amenities and infrastructure, insecurity and terrorism seems like too much of a burden for one man to carry. So instead of exerting his strength and powers trying to vanquish an age long malady. I can only assume that the president is advised that the people of his country have gotten toughened by the long years of sufferings, because it is a common saying that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Subconsciously I turned the keys in the ignition to kill the engine of the car as I opened the car door ready to come down and walk towards the entrance of the supermarket. Idly opening the pigeon hole on the dashboard, I got out my wallet containing my bank debit cards, then made sure the car was properly locked before I made my way towards the guard placed at the supermarket’s entrance door who also served as a doorman. Although a successful outcome could be tolerable, the results if negative could be so devastating and would be totally unbearable. The objectives of the mission were to rescue a girl captured by the desires of prostitution, alcohol and cocaine; and to help reform her until she’s healthy enough to lead a normal life. In fact, it was her high school sweetheart who had called for an intervention during which it was decided that a rescue operation had to be carried out.  With the objectives outlined, the mission was given the green light. The strategy employed was aimed at reducing any and if possible every external interference by the police or any security agent. The demands of family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, lovers, bosses, and society makes each day unique in its own way; and every day the human want gets more insatiable and complex. I have watched how the natural order of life works. It is more or less the same order for every living organism starting from the birthing stage to the infancy stage, up until the adult stage. And once confirmed to be an adult, the need to strike out on your on becomes the centre of the natural order. I need somebody who can stand by me; in stormy weather or sunny weather. Someone who is willing to be with me because being without me is just not the same as with me around, someone who misses me, someone who loves me.
