jennifer lopez."Feel the light."(Soundtrack Home)

Image
Photo credit: Google images Feel the light is a ballad song recorded by American singer Jennifer Lopez for the sound track of the 2015 Dreamworks Animation film "Home". Photo credit: Google images Usually I'm not fond of soundtracks, because most times it's only really enjoyed when one has watched the movie from which it featured. But there's something about the pictures from the Dreamworks animation "Home" coupled with the vocals of Jennifer Lopez on the soundtrack that just hits a soft spot in me. I'm a Classic Man.

Image
Photo credit: Google images I believe that I'm a pretty classic type of guy so when I came across this song by Jidenna feat Kendrick Lamar titled "Classic man"(remix) being played on Soundcity, you couldn't imagine my joy and how much attention I payed trying not to miss a single lyric. Plus the video was epic. Photo credit: Google images Now while I might have a slightly different idea from the song as to being a Classic man, I loved everything that was portrayed by it. Photo credit: Google images Now I don't know about most men, but for me, the concept is all about being that classic one, different from all the other species. Educated, speaks fluently, got his woman itch under control, cool, calm and collected man working hard daily to maintain a standard and image. Makes all other men see the possibilities of what could be achieved with work, consistency and time. Photo credit: Google images But just in case you'd rather dev

D'Prince brings to you some "Kwolty"...

Image
Photo credit: Google images The prince is here and it's another crazy tune from the Mavins signee. This one he titles "Kwolity" and is produced by C.E.O Mavins record and ace music producer Don Jazzy. Photo credit: Google images Two reasons why I'm feeling this Kwolity tune; 1. Naturally Don Jazzy goes raw on any beat, and this one's not disappointing. 2. The song came to me at a time when I needed a sick tune in it's form... It was raining heavily and I was folded under the covers trying to get warm because of the cold and right then while I was hitting the download link, I really wouldn't have minded having some "kwolity" ***** under the covers with me. Photo credit: Google images This song worked perfect as a distraction from the cold and the lack of Kwolity thereof. When Tinashe screams "All along" on Bated Breath...

Image
Photo credit: Google images Listed at Track 16 on the Aquarius Album which was released on the 3rd of October 2014 by American singer and song writer Tinashe is the song titled "Bated Breath". Photo credit: Google images It gets to a point in the song when Tinashe pauses for a while then goes in for the kill singing a hook that gets all of my back hairs springing up and sends shivers running through my spine as she screams out "all along" repeatedly. Photo credit: Google images Now just in case you're a fan of that goose bumpy, spine chilling feeling that comes with really great vocals stretched beautifully to their peaks, I'd advise you check out Tinashe's in "Bated Breath". Watching MTV Base together, Mummy and I.

Image
Photo credit: Google images One of the ways I love to spend a lazy evening is sitting in front of the television with my mother beside me and watching whatever it is that's being aired. Photo credit: Google images But my favorite channel to watch with my mother has got to be Africa's number one music channel MTV Base. Photo credit: Google images First off for the love of new and trending hit music around the African continent and the world at large. Next is because of the comments it gets out of my beloved mother, who goes off mouthing and stating whatever she doesn't approve of and everything she loved about a music video, the rhythm of a song, the choreography of the dancers, the hairstyle of an artist or the crazed wardrobes of everyone in the music video. It's so much more entertaining than watching a stand-up comedy show. And it gives me great joy watching the smiles on her face everytime she says something hilarious and I burst out in unco

Jesus is lord, but I'll bet there were songs he loved singing.

Image
Photo credit: Google images History is riddled with some incredible tales of past truths, myths and legends. And there's always that one man who does something so unconventional that it's worthy of being noted and past along to the children of the future generations. But of all the stories of the past told and untold, the story of Jesus Christ the son of God is one that has generated with it a lot of belief in the christain faith and in God the creator. Photo credit: Google images But while we tell tales of great men gone by, most times we never get to have an insight into the kind of men they were while they were alive. What their favorite meal were, the kinds of songs they danced to and the melodies they sang, what books they wrote and poetry they recited, how they liked to dress and what sort of women they loved. Photo credit: Google images Now its been noted that humans are creatures of songs, singing in times of praises to the creator, leisure

Fine boys for sale...

Image
Photo credit: Google images You know when they say don't listen to everything you hear, that's very good advice. Starboy L.A.X featured Olamide on a song which he titled "Fine Boy" and on the chorus they sang "fine boy for sale". Photo credit: Google images So just in case you might be thinking like some crazy dudes I know who are about to put themselves on the market as a commodity to be purchased because they heard the song and have made the grand error of thinking that they are fine boys here's four reasons you might wanna consider first. 1. As a product there's supposed to be a service enjoyed by the buyer. So what's your offer? 2. After being bought, the buyer's got the right to use his purchase how ever he deems fit. 3. There's the law to consider, selling oneself I'm pretty sure is illegal. 4. You've just got to wonder about the state of mind of your potential buyer. And if that's not enough reason

Dbanj: Desperately trying to make it in the new school.

Image
Photo credit: Google images Back in the early years of the millennium, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo aka kokomaster Dbanj was the shii with hit songs like "Tongolo", "Why me", "Olorum maje" amongst a multitude of songs which got him lots of love, fame and fortune under the canopy of his then record label the Mo'hits records. Photo credit: Google images Quite recently Dbanj made an unprecedented re-entry into the Nigerian music scene with talks of a new album coming out and with multiple releases of singles said to be off of the soon to be released album. But what Dbanj seems to have forgotten is that the era when he was relevant was almost a decade ago and that things have upped a bit in the world of Nigerian music with with new school artists like Olamide on the rampage, Phyno fino, Davido, Wizkid, Kiss Daniels and so on. Photo credit: Google images But with recent singles like "Knocking on my door", "Salute" fe
