Your Mummy Doesn't Even Want To See My Face.
It was the last day of the year. The thirty-first day of December and by midnight people everywhere would be screaming “Happy New Year” at the top of their voice.
I watched as you walked down the street on your way to work in the morning and never thought that before the day was over you’d have won my heart.
The evening was exciting, with so many of my friends visiting to count down the final hours of the year together. The atmosphere set in festivities as music filtered through the air from the stereo in the car parked in the street. While bottles of beer lay wasted on the ground and the scent of fried chicken wafted through the air, as laughter and conversations rang roundabout.
Distracted by the sight of you walking alone down the street apparently back from work, I separated myself from the group and tried to find a quiet place to wait in hope of starting a conversation with you, just for the fun of it.
Little did i know that i was going to enjoy talking to you so much, and something; maybe my gut instincts told me that you enjoyed our conversation as much as i did, because we immediately exchanged phone numbers and since that moment, whenever your caller id appears on my phone screen, i feel triple the excitement i felt on the evening when you won my heart.
I was excited and ready to let everyone know that i was in love, especially your mother as she being a single parent might not be the happiest about her daughter’s new boyfriend, but i felt she might not also want her daughter to make the same mistakes she had made in the past.
