The conventional Nigerian second-hand clothes market aka "Bend down select" or most popularly referred to as "Okirika", with different variety of men wears and women wears, undergarments and briefs, stockings and hats, shoes and scarfs.
"Bend down select" is one of the most populous commerce industry anywhere within the country, providing a means of livelihood most especially for women but not excluding some men who have also ventured into the trade as a means of earning their daily bread and catering for their family.

The clothing market which is a booming multi billion dollar business with a high profit yielding potential has come to be accepted generally by many as one of the cheapest way to get long-lasting clothing and also one of the easiest low income investment because of its affordability, durability, variety among others. This belief is reasonable because most of the clothes in this line of business are sourced abroad.

Every human desires basically to cover their nakedness, any one forced to make a decision between going hungry, going homeless or going naked would obviously choose going hungry or homeless as no one would readily be interested in displaying their nakedness in public especially women. Thus the Nigerian "bend down select" clothes market has created a medium for affordable clothing for the teeming population of the country.
