I used to dream of a fairytale ending for us. Our beginning was humble and our journey pleasant. Sometimes rocky but nothing so impossible that we couldn't handle it.

I made you several promises and by God I did my best to stand by them. Crazy as some wishes seemed, it was my pleasure to honour them. Time after time, age after age, I guess we both grew older and in different directions from what we had planned in the beginning.

I never really knew the meaning of the word "love" not until I met you. And love they say is giving, so I'd keep praying for a giving heart. I remember happier times and beautiful smiles, beautiful full memories of us and it fills my heart with gladness.

My heart is forever yours, but I've got to face life's truth, I'll never be with you. Would always love you and cherish the memories we built together but that's where I lucked out I guess. Our realities have become so distant it's difficult to bridge the gap.
