The Ever Living Nigerian Music Legend Fela Anikulakpo Kuti.

The man they called Fela
I just finished reading an article about the man Fela Anikulakpo Kuti. One of Nigeria's greatest music legend and activist.
A lot of us grew up to Fela's music and some of us didn't, but whenever that afro beats comes on the speakers and then you hear voice of the greatest musical philosopher Nigeria ever did produce.
It always sparks up the atmosphere with an aura of spirituality only experienced in churches, shrines and other places of worship.
To some people Fela Anikulakpo Kuti was a messenger of God, a prophet if you will sent by God to come liberate his people.
Musically, Fela was well liked by the public, but like every Liberation story, the government are always the opposition. Fela's feud with the government was a battle that continued till his demise.
But his legacies remains, his philosophies still applicable in today's society, his music still enjoyed by the masses so much that even the government his greatest opposition now celebrates his legacies.
My new found love and respect for the legend Fela Anikulakpo kuti grows each minute and is so strong that I'm now rocking his hit track "Trouble_sleep_Yanga_wake am" as my new ringtone.

The most inspirational tale I've heard about the man Fela Anikulakpo Kuti is the detailed interview of one of his ex-wives who narrated how he got married to 27 women at once and the events that led to the ceremony.
