Subconsciously I turned the keys in the ignition to kill the engine of the car as I opened the car door ready to come down and walk towards the entrance of the supermarket. Idly opening the pigeon hole on the dashboard, I got out my wallet containing my bank debit cards, then made sure the car was properly locked before I made my way towards the guard placed at the supermarket’s entrance door who also served as a doorman. Although a successful outcome could be tolerable, the results if negative could be so devastating and would be totally unbearable. The objectives of the mission were to rescue a girl captured by the desires of prostitution, alcohol and cocaine; and to help reform her until she’s healthy enough to lead a normal life. In fact, it was her high school sweetheart who had called for an intervention during which it was decided that a rescue operation had to be carried out.  With the objectives outlined, the mission was given the green light. The strategy employed was aimed at reducing any and if possible every external interference by the police or any security agent. We are right where we should be, doing whatever it is that we have been fated to do, and life is all about our thoughts and dreams. So, never allow anyone to embarrass you with their opinions of what they think your dreams and ambitions should be about.  Do whatever it is that you are doing with confidence in your decisions, and readiness for the both the anticipated and unexpected outcome. Everyone, especially the critics are ready to discover faults in your personality but not everyone is willing to support you to amend those faults.  It is expected that somehow by the help of God, you would come out on top. The demands of family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, lovers, bosses, and society makes each day unique in its own way; and every day the human want gets more insatiable and complex. I have watched how the natural order of life works. It is more or less the same order for every living organism starting from the birthing stage to the infancy stage, up until the adult stage. And once confirmed to be an adult, the need to strike out on your on becomes the centre of the natural order. I need somebody who can stand by me; in stormy weather or sunny weather. Someone who is willing to be with me because being without me is just not the same as with me around, someone who misses me, someone who loves me. Now you know what you have to do, all that’s left now is for you to put your mind to it and do it. With educating yourself being at the top of the priority list; you need to know the rules, before you can learn to bend those rules to your favour. So whenever I hear the questions “do dreams come true?” my answer is always yes, but there’s always a but; because dreams only come true after the dreams have been paid. These days it seems we go for months without even talking to each other, we are both carried away with being other versions of ourselves and we seem to have abandoned the version of us that brought us together and gifted us with a love which for a while filled us with happiness. These days it seems that you are so far away, and even though I always remember you, long for you, wish that you were here with me, and I’m convinced that I will never stop loving you. These days I no longer call as frequently as I used to and you almost never call at all, so that the day you do call always seem to become special, like a significant symbol.
