I'm the most incredible; Out of Naija... Street credibility.

Image
Photo credit: Google images All hail the motherland. The land is always green on this side of the earth and Nigeria has produced great names and brands recognized by millions globally. From football legends like J.J Okocha, to Rashidi Yekini, to Nwankwo Kanu and Sunday Oliseh. Movie superstars like Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekehinde, Saint Obi, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Pete Edochei and a host of others. We've got musicians, comedians, writers and great business men and women, ministers of the gospel and a whole lot more. Now being born in this same land from which a lot of great names has sprung forth from, its now left for one to be inspired by the good we hear of repeatedly and try earnestly to fashion out a niche where we can thrive and hopefully one day too we'd stand boldly with our hand placed on our chest and say "I'm the most incredible, out of Naija" Here's the collaboration of two of Naija's most incredible musicians and a link to do...

MICHAEL JACKSON: EARTH SONG.

Image
Photo credit: Google images A song for the earth, filled with all of her mysteries and creatures of different classes of speed, sound, might and intelligence. With winds that gushes and sigh, while some groans and roar. Skies that glitters a bright blue on sunny days and a dark grey on stormy days. A song for the home of man, a song for the effects of man's thoughtfulness on the container he calls his home. Photo credit: Google images With desolation being paramount about the earth and destruction becoming the latest trend we dedicate a song to the material from which we were fashioned and her gracious abode which we dwell in still. On a very good day...

Image
Photo credit: Google images On a very good day I don't have to worry about anything or anyone. My day moves smoothly from one event to the next like changing gears in an Aston Martin Vanquish. Photo credit: Google images On a very good day, I might get stuck in traffic but instead of fuming and looking to chew off someone's head, I hum melodiously and tap on my steering wheel repeatedly, in harmony with the tune drifting out from the speakers of my stereo. Photo credit: Google images On a very good day I fall in love at first sight with every pretty thing I see living or not. But this here is a link to download and enjoy Burna boy feat Wande coal in "On a very good day". PLEASE BE SOCIABLE: LIKE, FOLLOW AND SHARE OUR POSTS Tweet Follow @SAGE_BEATS

Do you love the Koko?- Dbanj-Tongolo.

Image
Photo credit: Google images Still on my crazy #throwbacks, I'm taking it way back to the Dbanj craziness and the beginning of the Mo'hits takeover. Photo credit: Google images With the drop of D'banj's first album titled "no long thing" under the Mo'hits label in 2005, the journey to what is now popularly called Afro-hiphop began and with the release of D'banj's Tongolo single produced by Don Jazzy, the Mo'hits takeover began. And now here's your link to travel in time and listen and enjoy Koko master D'banj in Tongolo PLEASE BE SOCIABLE: LIKE, FOLLOW AND SHARE OUR POSTS Tweet Follow @SAGE_BEATS

Timaya: Ukwu!!!

Image
Photo credit: Google images Everybody loves the Egberi papa one of Bayelsa, but a few days after the release of the song titled "Ukwu" the love grew wild like fire in a dry forest. And all any guy could mutter in his spare time or as an exclamation was the word "Ukwu". And to show it's popularity, it even made it's way into Nollywood movie productions. Photo credit: Google images On my crazy #throwbacks spree, Timaya's "Ukwu" (and I mean the song and not his Ukwu for real) has brought back some really crazy and almost forgotten memories. Photo credit: Google images And as always, here's a link to download and enjoy Timaya's "Ukwu" PLEASE BE SOCIABLE: LIKE, FOLLOW AND SHARE OUR POSTS Tweet Follow @SAGE_BEATS

Davido: All of you...

Image
Photo credit: Google images After dropping a crazy list of hit singles and getting his brand recognized as one of the top in the industry, David released the song "All of you" which is the first track off of the O.B.O Genesis album, very controversial song too because of the message it carries. Photo credit: Google images This #throwback is crazy because years after the song's release, it could be said that Davido was just revealing a prophecy as the lyrics more or less still holds true after so much time. Bracket: Yori Yori

Image
Photo credit: Google images So yesterday I went off on crazy #throwbacks and it seems like today's adopting a similar spirit and today we are starting off with Bracket in "Yori yori". Photo credit: Google images Bracket is a music duo (formerly trio) made up of Nwachukwu Ozioko aka Vast and Ali Obumneme aka Smash. Both hails from Enugu State and met at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I can remember vividly how the Yori Yori single took over the streets and how every speaker on every street corner seemed to be engaged in a yori yori competition as they kept on repeating the song up till the point where I ended up hating everything about the song. Still didn't stop it though, and now it's made it's way back from the archives to grace my crazy #throwback today. Photo credit: Google images And now here's a link to download the unstoppable "Yori Yori" flavor that brought Bracket their stardom. PLEASE BE SOCIABLE: LIKE,...

Mario: "Just like a friend (2002)"

Image
Photo credit: Google images Soundcity blew my mind this evening, dropping dope songs which rocked my childhood era and made the big boys back then feel like badasses or feel real and downright sexy with singers like R. Kelly, Marion, and Nelly and rappers like Puff Daddy and Dmx and teenagers like lil Bow wow and Lil Romeo and female Mc's like Missy Elliot. Photo credit: Google images But this here is Mario in Just a friend (2002). "Just a Friend 2002" is a R&B single by Mario. It is the first single from his first studio album Mario which was a loose cover of Biz Markie's hit, "Just a Friend". Mario's version is quite different, as the story is changed from a man who discovers his girlfriend has been cheating on him, to a story about unrequited love. To my unborn child...

Image
Photo credit: Google images Its the 19th day of January in the year of our lord 2016. And I'm currently in a strange land surrounded by strange people and even living in the same house with people I have never before encountered in life. Very far away from the place that I know and call my home, seperated from my family and friends and doing my best in pursuing a greater future which I can be proud of and which i hope would rub off on my family and the people that'd be around me. Photo credit: Google images All of these makes me think about my own offsprings which I plan to have and raise someday. And all I can think of to say right now is that no matter how good or bad you guys might turn out to be, Daddy's gonna try his best to be there for as many of you that may come along. Photo credit: Google images With love your daddy... Even though he's not seen you yet and doesn't even know if you'd be as loving as he wishes your mother to be woul...

I guess the nice guys always get to play the fool.

Image
Photo credit: Google images Hoping for the best and doing everything to get noticed he wears his heart on his arm, picks flowers and buy presents for special occasions. He's a gentleman he thinks. Photo credit: Google images He charms her with his chivalry and gentleness, he's more or less the perfect idea of what a gentleman ought to be, with his love for music and pets, his meek gentleness when he addresses issues that ought to cause a stir is alarming to some making them wonder why he's so gentle. Photo credit: Google images Finally he realises that he's a stranger in the midst of a multitude of like minded people. And that his ideas which he had worked so hard to maintain holds little or no value at all to the people surrounding him. Still not ready to call his game over, he goes on living his dreams and watch as they call him names, most especially when he's called a fool. Triple beam dreams "The ghetto's my reality"

Image
Photo credit: Google images You know the streets you watch in movies, the people, the hustle, the struggle and the pains... that's somebody's reality. But most of y'all would only witness all of that up in movies you'd laugh about or feel remorseful at the ending and comment on how well the star act performed like it was real. And then the act gets an award and the producer gets another production then its "on to the next one". Photo credit: Google images Up in this streets we got little homies doing big things, we got little shawties with crazy attitude. We got some superstars and a whole bunch of money crazed teenagers. Get that paper by any means and weigh shit on that triple beam. #Throwback Say your love no dey lie- P Square.

Image
Photo credit: Google images So there I was walking, heading towards church because I had an all night service to attend when I approached a hotel. It's a Friday night and the deejay was doing great justice to making it feel like one as the music blarring out from somewhere within the hotel was just at an incredibly high decibel but what I didn't expect to hear him play was a song from Psquare's "get squared" album. Which brought me to this point where altough Fridays are not popular for #throwbacks, I just decided what the hell, I'm gonna do one. Photo credit: Google images So like we normally do, here's a link to download and enjoy PSquare in "Say your love" PLEASE BE SOCIABLE: LIKE, FOLLOW AND SHARE OUR POSTS Tweet Follow @SAGE_BEATS

The Encounter: Who broke who's head? Dammy Krane Vs Wizkid.

Image
Photo credit: Google images Some couple of days back, Nigerian singer Dammy Krane called out his fellow colleague Wizkid on twitter over some issues of material theft, which then set the stage for the first Nigerian music superstars beef of 2016. Photo credit: Google images Some minutes ago I got notification that the beef which started on social media finally made it's grand entry into reality and that some one got his head broken by a bottle. Photo credit: Google images The event was reportedly organized by Nigerian footballer Obafemi Martins at popular Victoria Island's club house Quilox and Wizkid was reportedly seen in the club at about 4:00am while Dammy Krane was said to have been in the club long before Wizkid's arrival. But sometime around 5:00am the shit hit the fan and lots of reports have been given about the encounter.
